About Camila
Camila Barreto is a caring, compassionate and attuned bilingual (English-Spanish) psychotherapist and parenting facilitator. Camila has received extensive training in treating attachment difficulties, relational and complex trauma, perinatal mood disturbances, challenging behaviors in early childhood, and abuse prevention and treatment. She utilizes attachment-based psychotherapy, Theraplay, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, Gottman Couples Therapy and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy in her work with individuals, couples, families and children.  

Camila has worked in a variety of settings including private and public preschools, after school programs, community counseling organizations and private hospitals. She has provided educational and therapeutic support to parents (biological, foster, adoptive), children, adolescents, pregnant mothers, new parents and early childhood educators in need of therapeutic support and the most current information on brain development and mental health. 

Camila was born and raised in Colombia and lived in the Middle East for eight years. Camila is married and has three children, ages 5,7 and 11.

Camila earned a MA in Clinical Psychology with a specialty in Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology (PPN), a MA in International Development and BA in Psychology. Camila is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC # 90005) in private practice.
